A Disappointing Study of Newgrange Symbols

The author attempts to answer all the tough questions posed by Newgrange, but her theories are not well-supported or ultimately convincing. Greco-Roman cosmology is too far removed from ancient Ireland to be a useful tool for deciphering Newgrange's symbols.

Sophisticated star viewing practiced at Newgrange

Anyone with an interest in ancient sites will appreciate the careful detailed research and credibly documented interpretations of the author. The facts speak clearly: Newgrange (and presumably other sites, by inference) was a sophisticated piece of architecture, cleverly aligned for star viewing, water and solar access. It was clearly designed for service as a practical shelter with ritual uses. I wish the book had a detailed Index, the lack of one is the only reason it gets four versus five stars.
