About the Author
Mark Hitchcock is the author of nearly 30 books related to end-time Bible prophecy, including Middle East Burning and 101 Answers to Questions About the Book of Revelation. He earned a ThM and PhD from Dallas Theological Seminary and is the senior pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. He also serves as Associate Professor of Bible Exposition at DTS, and he and his wife, Cheryl, have two sons, one daughter-in-law, and one grandson.

Very Helpful Book on Revelation

As someone who has been interested in the book of Revelation for many years, I have acquired, over the years, many books about the Bible's last book; however, most of them remain unread. However, I recently obtained this book, because of my continuing interest in Bible prophecy, in general; and the book of Revelation, in particular. I have not been disappointed!
This book is excellent!! If you have ever wondered about the last book of the Bible and/or been fascinated by it, as I have, then you MUST get this book! Mark Hitchcock earned his Ph.D at Dallas Theological Seminary, and is the senior pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmund, OK. He did his doctoral dissertation at the seminary on a particular aspect of the book of Revelation, and has done a lot of study on it, as is evident from reading this book. Although Dr. Hitchcock has written a number of books on the subject of Bible prophecy, this one is specifically on the book of Revelation. If you have ever wondered about "the mark of the beast;" or who the Nicolaitans were; or how to understand the seven churches in chapters 2-3 of Revelation; or many other things about the book; then you will appreciate this gem of a book. Although this very helpful resource on Revelation is scholarly, it is also very readable, and is written in a very orderly and logical fashion--discussing the book's interpretation and background first; and then, going section-by-section through the book sequentially, addressing specific questions about various things in the book of Revelation. Dr. Hitchcock is a very gifted teacher, as this book makes clear. I can't recommend it too highly, and I pray God will give it the wide circulation it so richly deserves!

My Thoughts About The Book: Because I am very interested in learning as much as I can about the end times I am always on the look out for completely Biblical well written books by established authors. 101 Answers to Questions About the Book of Revelation by Mark Hitchcock fit the bill on all accounts as far as I'm concerned. Mark was written a book about the Book of Revelation that is true to the Word of God, which is well written and definitely interesting to read.
Author Hitchcock's book consists of 5 Key Parts: The Interpretation of Revelation, The Background of Revelation, The Revelation of Jesus Christ (Revelation 1), The Churches (Revelation 2-3) and the Consummation (Revelation 4-22). Within Parts 1-4 are relevant questions that Christians might want to know the answer to and in Part 5 the questions and answers are placed under five different significant Sections: The Scene in Heaven (4-5), The Tribulation (6-18), The Second Coming of Christ (19), The Millennium, Final Revolt and Great White Throne (20), The New Heaven, New Earth, and New Jerusalem (21-22).
The subject of the End Times and the Book of Revelation is a controversial one among believers; however, regardless of your persuasion there is something for everyone to learn in author Hitchcock's book. And he does disclose different views that are held by people who share faith in the same Lord and are going to one day all end up at the same destination - no matter what they believed was written in the book of Revelation.
I appreciate the easy to read, easy to follow format of Mark's book. "What is the Millennium and what are the different Views Concerning the Millennium?" What is the Great White Throne Judgment in 20:11-15?" and then in the final section of his book questions about "The New Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem." In his book author Hitchcock frequently refers to the Scriptures comparing Scripture with Scripture as well as to the writings of noted church leaders and theologians from all the ages to provide greater clarification for his answers to questions contained in his book.
